u know I learnt and hear from places n ppl that chinese songs r very beautiful in the sense that they focus more on da lyrics n the meanin in it. and that the alot of those english songs emanating around us are jz made to ryhme n how danceable it can be made out to be.
50/50 for me here.
on the chinese songs meaningful lyrics part. eventhough i dun understand them, ( but i have alwiz in my mind thought that the chinese,mandarin, is the most beautiful and delicate language of all kinds it alwiz sounds less rough than the others and u dun find a few vulgarity in it really )
umteen times i have been told from alot of ppl whether close frens or forums that jay chous songs hav reali meaningful beautiful lyrics like cai hong qi li xiang blabla.well hes the only chinese artist i reali listen to after all
but the thing is bout chinese songs r that they only have mostly those sad love soppy songs zzzzzz.
elsewhere in btween, on the english songs . not entirely true that they dont hav lyrics that make sense. thats y i mostly listen to alternative genre coz its totally diff from the likes current hiphop rnb and pop coz they usually jz want u to dance to it and make da tune be easy on ears.
of late, I really liked, note LIKED, that Shewolf song from Shakira at 1st when it jus came out.
i liked how it sounded. its catchy yea.n i dun even nit to mention how hot that colombian songstress is. but as time passes, as i got to make out wat the lyrics r all about i find it ....really stupid.
